The energy consumption of data centers will increase rapidly in the coming years – with the increase in data use – especially after the introduction of the 5G network. Fortunately, there is still a lot of room for data centers to save energy, because they use a lot of energy in an idle state. There are measures to be taken for this, but data centers prefer not to take them because they are judged on their performance.
